DENVER, NC - On Sunday morning, at 2:10 am, Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of possible shots fired at Midtown Sundries.

Upon arrival Deputies found the victim lying in the parking lot. Richard Miles was the victim of an apparent gunshot wound. EMS transported Miles who later died from his wound.

The incident stemmed from an argument between several parties present at the time. Jason Eastridge was seen leaving the scene in a white colored SUV and was taken into custody at the address listed form the vehicle registration.

MAIDEN - This past Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shots fired call at 1920 Maiden-Salem Road (Fellowship Baptist Church).

Upon arrival Deputies found a black male nude on the porch of the church. A second white male was found taking cover behind a pickup truck parked in the church parking lot.

Both the suspect and victim were armed and neither was hit during the exchange of gunfire. The suspect was observed standing with his back against the front wall of the church staring straight ahead nude. The deputies observed the suspects firearm on the porch in front of the suspect.
