LINCOLNTON – Lincoln County Sheriff’s officers investigated a bomb threat at North Lincoln High School on Wednesday. Deputies were notified after a message was found written on a stall in a restroom that indicated an attempt would be made to “blow up” the school today.
Sheriff’s deputies and the Gaston and Lincoln County bomb-sniffing dogs were called in Wednesday night to search the building and grounds but did not detect any potential materials that would indicate an explosive device.
North Lincoln High School sent a recorded phone message out to parents last night informing them about the incident and precautions being taken by law enforcement.
