Case Turned Over to Juvenile Authorities

STAFF REPORTS

LINCOLNTON
– Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detectives Robin Powell and Don Mauldin have developed a suspect in connection with a So-Call Hit List found at West Lincoln Middle School on Wednesday.

Detectives, who have conducted interviews for the last two days, turned the information and the case over to State Juvenile authorities Friday afternoon for further action. A juvenile petition is expected to be filed on Monday. The juvenile is a 14 year old female student at the school.

Officers were called to the school Wednesday afternoon after the list was discovered and extra security was provided at the school Thursday and Friday. Officers say the additional security will continue at West Lincoln Middle School on Monday as a precaution.

The Sheriff’s Department investigation has concluded and no further information is available.
