CORNELIUS - Jon Herbert, 17, and James Herbert, 12, of Cornelius, NC died Saturday, January 26, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident.
Jon was born on February 2, 1990 in Orange, CA. He was a senior at SouthLake Christian Academy. Jon had a good sense of humor, was an excellent student, and was known as a quiet thinker with a quick wit. He loved computers, video games and cars.
James was born on October 5, 1995 in Charlotte, NC. He was a 7th grader at SouthLake. He loved skateboarding, scouting with his dad, motocross racing, and drag racing. He had a big heart and a wonderful smile.
The boys were the best of friends and dearly loved their little sister, Jessie.
Survivors include their parents, Douglas and Sonnie Herbert; sister, Jessie Herbert; grandparents, Chet and Leanne Herbert of Villa Park, CA and Carole Grove of Cherryville, NC.
Funeral services for the boys will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at SouthLake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wade Malloy and Rev. Adam Mumpower officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Tuesday night at Raymer Funeral Home.
