Lincolnton, NC – Lincoln County Narcotics Officers arrested a Lincoln County School teacher following a buy-bust operation Tuesday.

Undercover officers set up the buy-bust operation with Brian Hunter Zickefoose, 26, of Ivey Church Road in Maiden. The address is located in Lincoln County.

Zickefoose was apprehended following a brief foot chase with officers. He is charged with five counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, five counts of sell and delivery of cocaine, and maintaining a motor vehicle for the sell of a controlled substance.

Narcotics officers seized 3 grams of cocaine in Tuesday night’s operation. The five charges stem from separate undercover incidents over the last two months.

The suspect told officers he was a former teacher at Wingate Elementary School in Charlotte and was recently hired by the Lincoln County Schools at S Ray Lowder Elementary School in Lincolnton.

Zickefoose was placed under a $60,000 secured bond and had a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court today.
