Lincolnton On Tuesday, December 8th, the Lincoln County Board of REALTORS® held it’s regular monthly meeting and Christmas Party at the Lincolnton Country Club. As the members entered the meeting, each brought with them a toy. Each year the REALTORS® collect Toys for Tots.
Last year’s retiring officers and directors were recognized and given certificates of appreciation for their dedicated and continuous service. Shelia Rudisill administered the Oath of Office to the 2010 officers and directors. Janice Peeler will serve the Board as President along with Shantae Brown, President-Elect; Pat Ballard, Vice-President; Megan Brown, Secretary; Nancy Poteat, Treasurer. Directors are: Bill Spurrier, Ann Caldwell, Christy Boyles, Kay Davis, Traci Dellinger, Gail Huss and the Immediate Past President, Brad Whitley. Kathy Hendricks is the Association Executive.
Each year the Board recognizes an Affiliate within the organization who has made outstanding contributions to the Lincoln County Board, the State Association, and the National Association of REALTORS®. This year’s Affiliate of the Year Award was presented to Traci Dellinger, Chief Financial Officer of American Family Mortgage, Lincolnton.
Also, annually an individual Realtor® is recognized who has made outstanding contributions to the Lincoln County Board, the State Association, and the National Association of RELATORS®.

Mitzi Malcolm presented the 2010 REALTOR of the Year Award to Pat Ballard who was very surprised. Ms. Ballard is part owner and officer manager for Carolina Realty in Lincolnton and has been involved in many aspects of the real estate industry in addition to other community, church and civic organizations. In addition to the surprise of being named the REALTOR® of the Year, she was totally shocked to see husband, Lanny and daughter, Tammy. Prior to becoming a licensed Realtor, Ms. Ballard was in the mortgage industry. Before this award was presented, Judy Holland recognized each of the former Realtors of the Year and presented them with a pin.
American Family Mortgage received the award for the most outstanding member firm in the Lincoln County Board of REALTORS® Association. Traci Dellinger was joined by Jan Hoyle and Shelley Jenkins to accept this award.
After turning the gavel over to the association’s 2010 President, Janice Peeler, Brad Whitley replied, “As Rick Flair would say, Whoooo”. In appreciation and thankfulness for his dedicated leadership, the association presented Brad with a plague with his gavel.
