NEWTON - Officials at Peoples Bank recently announced that Christy Sigmon has joined the local bank as a Mortgage Loan Originator. Christy will focus her efforts in the Bank’s Hickory region and will be based in the Catawba Valley Boulevard Business Center. Christy has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years and has specialized in mortgage lending for 10 years.
“It is a distinct pleasure to welcome Christy Sigmon to Peoples Bank,” stated Tony Wolfe, President and Chief Executive Officer. “She brings with her a tremendous reputation for banking knowledge and quality customer service. Therefore, customers of Peoples Bank will be the true beneficiaries of her expertise.”
Sigmon received her education from Catawba Valley Community College. She attends Beth Eden Lutheran Church in Newton with her husband, Kemp, and volunteers with The Corner Table and the Catawba County Partnering Network where she serves as an executive board member. The Sigmons reside in Conover and are parents of two sons, Tyler and Parker. Tyler attends Virginia Tech, and Parker is a student at Newton Conover High School.
