LINCOLNTON - If you walk down the streets at Lincolnton at night you might be surprised to see someone in one of the shop windows working hard late into the evening.

That would be local artist, Laurie Bostian, who bills herself as "your personal artist".

Many times she is accompanied by her dog, Copper, while she paints.

Bostian graduated from Appalachian State University in 1994. After teaching Kindergarten and First Grade, she left education for awhile and had two beautiful and very entertaining boys according to Bostian.

She later opened her shop in downtown Lincolnton.
