Charlotte - Charlotte Country Day (9-1), previously unbeaten in conference play, held first place honors in the Charlotte Independent School Conference before traveling to Charlotte Latin (9-1) on Friday night for their annual show down. The two school’s football programs are currently rated in the top 20 in North Carolina. Latin’s strong defense and an excellent play by their punter Sam Meyers resulted in a 28-17 win for Latin. There is now a three way tie in the Charlotte Independent Conference between Country Day, Charlotte Latin and reigning state champion Charlotte Christian.
