VALE, NC - The 7th Annual Burlon Craig Pottery festival will be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Craig Homeplace located at 3171 Cat Square Road in Vale, NC.
The Craig "homeplace" is listed in the National Register of Historical Places.
Admission is $5 for adults and children under 12 get in free.
For more than 65 years, Burlon Craig kept alive the methods of Catawba Valley pottery. His sons, Don and Dwayne Craig look to keep the tradition alive and will be firing the kiln on festival day.

Over 50 potters are participating in the festival.
The Craig pottery shop will be open on festival day and there will be antique pottery dealers, pottery demonstrations, food and live music, and many other exhibits.
