GASTONIA, NC – Over 100 cars jammed the pit at Carolina Speedway on Friday night as the 2009 racing season came to an end.
Hooters Late Model track champion Robbie Bailey closed out his solid season in style by scoring his first career victory in the 25 lap main event. Kenny Rominger gave chase but had to settle for second with Dan Breuer third, Jay Sessoms fourth and David Yandle fifth.
Forest Acres, SC’s Jordan Anderson made a last corner pass of Jonathan Edwards to capture his first career NDRA GM Performance Late Model win. Edwards took second with Roddy Bolin third, track champion Gary Puckett fourth and Les Blankenship fifth.

Mike Messer made a late pass of Josh Robbins to win his first Street Stock main event of the season. Third through fifth went to; Andy Thompson, Ronald Pope and Ken Murhpy.
Shannon Barnhill topped a huge Pure Stock Four field to capture the win. Randy Powell, Jamie Major, Steve Ritch and Jacob Harrell rounded out the top five.
Frankie McGuire took home the victory over 33 Renegade cars registered for the event. Shorty Lacey, Chris Stowe, Ronald Pope and Scott Lail completed the top five.
Track champion Ryan Ayers showed his muscle by winning the Open Wheel Modified main event. Shawn Martin was second with Bucky Gregory third, Manuel Johnson fourth and Nick Stroupe fifth.
