VALE – A Western Lincoln County man is arrested and charged with stealing a firearm from a High Shoals residence on September 12.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Tracy Riddle arrested Jonathan Grantt, 27, 7230 Ed Willis Road, Vale, on Lackey Road on September 30. Grant was charged with one felony count of larceny of a firearm and given a $2,000 secured bond.
Grantt had a first appearance hearing in court on October 1.
Back on September 12, the victim in the case told Deputy S. Hovis he was moving to High Shoals and discovered his shotgun missing. Grantt was one of two people helping the victim move.
