News from the Pews : Pumpkins Arrive at Boger City Methodist

LINCOLNTON – If you have lived in Lincolnton for any period of time you have no doubt driven by the Pumpkin Patch in the fall at Boger City United Methodist Church.

On Saturday, despite the misty fall weather, church volunteers came to unload the tractor trailer load of pumpkins and fellowship with each other for the project.

The pumpkins represent some of the best selection of pumpkins anywhere.

Boger City Methodist will also hold their Annual Barbeque which is scheduled for the weekend of October 16th and 17th. On the 16th, volunteers will deliver plates to area businesses and the 17th will be dine in or carry out at the church.

Tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years old.

There will be delicious homemade apple pies from Nettie Hickey.

The Pumpkin Patch and Annual Barbeque supports and funds the programs and missions that the church participates in.
