VALE — Mr. Boyce Pinkney Gilbert, 97, of 3514 Plateau Road in Vale, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009.

His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Gilbert was born Dec. 10, 1911, in Lincoln County to the late William Daniel and Gertrude Johnson Gilbert.
